Pol Roger Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill 2018
Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill is only ever made in the great vintages (this is the 22nd release), and in small quantities in relation to the other 'grand marque' cuvees such as Dom Perignon. It is a richer style than the Brut Vintage and develops well with age. The exact blend is a closely guarded secret, but Pinot Noir is always dominant, this gives the wines depth, and structure and is balanced by the mineral, vibrant, savoury note from the Chardonnay.
2018 was a warm year, yet the wine is deceptive with pleasing acidity, making it approachable and refreshing. Galloni's note below. Limited quantities avaialble. Please let me know if you have interest.

“The 2018 Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill is an elegant, polished wine very much in the gracious, lighter style of the year. Subtle citrus inflections, white peach, flowers, mint and white pepper are all beautifully delineated in the glass. Clean mineral notes infuse the vibrant finish. This is an especially airy Churchill, a Champagne built more on finesse and persistence than size. ”
